There are a few minor differences and the CQ interface with the 561 upgrade.
First you'll notice the new accent in color is no longer blue
but Green, and the welcome screen—once you log in—now gives you any easier way
to navigate back to recently use pages
and recently used assets. It's a favorites
so to speak. Lastly, you'll notice an evolved search filter for your website's or
pages
and digital assets. Please note that the search will pull from all file metadata.
for websites use keywords that you know you're in the title or the name in the
page to narrow down results.
This searches all NYU pages, so your results might take a moment to finish.
Under the digital assets Search tab there are more options to narrow down
your search results.
Selecting a path for your search can be helpful if you manage several units
folders
and you can really narrow down your results by selecting what file types
you're looking for.
If your file name: is 001
dashed when 20 .jpg, with no metadata,
it's going to be very difficult to search for. Adding a title, description
or tags are just a few ways to help make your assets easier to search for in the
future.
So for an example I've preloaded on asset of our NYU mascot,
the Bobcat. I've use the title for the asset
Bobby—if I search for "bob" my search results will pull photos tagged with the
photographer Bob Handelman's name and I will not find my asset Bobby.
However by adding an asterisk symbol at the end of your word
this indicates the search to find all variations of bob.
Even though my tags do not include the word bob only Bobby,
the search will now find it.
