Veterinary Technology Overview Thanks for checking out Broadview University’s
veterinary technology program! If you have a passion for animals and aren’t afraid
to get your hands a little dirty, this program could be a great fit for you. You’ll get
hands-on experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes throughout the life cycle.
This associate degree program takes about two years to finish if you take classes full-time.
Coursework covers topics like animal anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, hematology,
surgical assisting, anesthesiology and more. You’ll get plenty of time working with animals
in your lab classes, but you’ll also get a chance to practice your skills in an off-site,
supervised externship. This is a great way to help you get real-world experience.
