So the iphone 5s has been out since September and ive had it for a few weeks now so i've
had a bit of a chance to play around with it.
So in this video i'm going to show you my thoughts and opinions on the new iPhone 5s
while still comparing to the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4s, so let's get started.
So first things first this is what your going to find in the box of the 5s, the phone itself,
mini instruction page, bearing in mind its not a mini book anymore and now decided for
a simple page, with apple information and stickers. Ear pod earphones and a lighting
speed adaptor. Ok so usual stuff there. Now for The specs of the 5s, its still similar
to the 5 but with slight improvements here and there.
The 5s is the thinnest & lightest it's ever been with a depth of 0.3 inches, and weighing
in at 3.95 ounces. Megapixels are still both the same 8mp on
the back and 2mp on the front however there's now a burst mode for taking rapid pictures,
slo-mo video recording and a true tone flash replacing the normal led flash capturing more
of a warmer picture. There's a much faster processor now with an
a7 chip, 64 bit and an m7 motion co-processor, which pretty much means there's a 1.3 ghz
dual core processor and 1gb ram. Now i know this may not seem alot compared
to other phones on the market, with their snap dragon processors and 3-4 gb of ram.
But apple doesnt need those big numbers to stay on top because it's still one of the
fastest phones on the market because it knows how to utilize the software and hardware together.
So i'll just do a quick speed test for you, erm i'll just mention that on all 3 phones,
it's connected to my house wi-fi, i've pretty much got average speeds and i've closed all
background apps so it's all good to go really So we'll go on a pretty easy website to load,
we'll start off on Youtube, and see how they all compare.
Ok 3,2,1 so it looks like the 5s has gone first and then the 5, then followed by the
4s, ok so those results seem pretty much how they should be
It has a 1570 mah battery, when if u compare this to say the samsung galaxy s4 or the note
3 they have about between 2-3000 mah, so obviously its alot smaller however for me i can get
about a day to a day and a half charge out of the 5s and it charges up insanely quick,
from a flat battery to 100% it'll charge in about an hour or 2, it's ridiculous.
Now the new thing that the 5s has now is the much talked out fingerprint sensor. Now i
liked the idea about this when i heard about it because i never put a passcode on any of
my previous models as i simply can't be bothered to put 4 digits into the phone every single
time i wanted to use it, but honestly now using the fingerprint sensor its alot better,
it reads my fingers pretty quickly while still keeping my phone protected from anyone trying
to get into it. You can scan up to 10 fingers so i've got both index fingers and thumbs
and works really well. Here it is without a registered digit.. Try
again.. And here it is with a registered digit.. And were in. You can still simply swipe to
the left if you don't want to require your digit and put your passcode in or if you don't
want no security at all, you can still turn them both off.
And now finally the new ios7, apple say its completely been reworked from the ground up,
but to me its just a bit more colourful for which im not really bothered about. The only
good thing about it that i do use is the new settings tab that you can swipe up from the
bottom, with easy access to turning on wifi for example or even just turning on the torch,
it saves alot of time. The iphone 5s comes in now 3 colours your
standard silver and grey, but now comes in a new GOLD Colour, which really caught my
eye, ive had a black 3gs and a black 4s which i was getting really bored of so the white
and gold is really refreshing. So now if we put the last 3 generation iphones
together and compare, there's some slight differences. Mainly the height of the 5 and
5s and the depth as it gradually gets smaller. The buttons are all in the same place, no
glass on the back but now a matte finish, the 30 pin adaptor has gone and now replaced
with a lightning adaptor and still a nano sim card holder.
So final thoughts of the iPhone 5s, if you're thinking of upgrading from the 5, dont theres
really no need to id wait for the iPhone 6. There's rumours that its going to be bigger
and wider, but i upgraded from the 4s, and i was looking for better battery life and
better performance and i have got that in the 5s.
So overall im happy with it i still cant switch to android as i just dont like the operating
system and still think apples is the best, because to be honest im not really bothered
about customization and putting stupid widgets on my homepage, like seriously, do you really
need it. So this has been a quick review of the iphone
5s and just some of my personal thoughts of the phone, if theres any other information
youd like to know and you're thinking of buying it just drop us a message below, i tend to
get the s models as i always take out a 2 yr contract so i guess ill be next reviewing
the iphone 6s so hopefully well see u then bye!
