The town hall meeting,
its purpose technically is to re-register orgs
to be part of the MultiCultural Center again.
and all the orgs that are here are orgs whose mission statements
match with that of the MultiCultural Center.
So it's a good place to find out what orgs there are on campus.
We like to inspire, and
get everyone in the org, empower to realize
that they do have influence and can make an impact on campus.
Our purpose here is to empower students
because they are part of the MCC, because they are historically underrepresented,
or they felt i the past they haven't had a voice.
MCC Council is a coalition of students
that are here to empower each other with inter-community and collaboration.
This is a perfect opportunity
to branch out, meet other people, and spread
what the mission of your organization is. Get to know what else is out there
and be a leader. / What we hope what they get in the town hall meetings
is that they take the lessons and things that they learned
from this large scale meeting and take them back
to their own organization in their own communities, and become teachers
and empower themselves through the things that we taught them
and what they've learned from their fellow student leaders.
You're going to bring everything back to your orgs, so you want to be a good representative
and actually get out there and teach as much as you can.
The MCC is like my second home and the things that I've learned here
we definitely wouldn't have been able to learn in a regular classroom setting.
The way that I've had being able to interact with all of these organizations.
I think there are over sixty student groups that are with the MCC this year.
Its just a great place to hang out, learn, spread your message, to get involved.
Even if you're not involved in an organization, just come, go to the events, just check out
because this is our resource.
The MCC is the place to be!
