Hey, Curls. In my last video I showed you how I wash my hair.
I have my hair in four large sections and
I'm splitting each section into two parts. Then I will clip it up and out of the way.
I will be using Garnier Fructis Pure Clean conditioner as a leave-in.
I am smoothing it through my hair. I will use my Tangle Teezer to remove shed
hair and to get rid of tangles. I am repeating these steps for each part within
the four large sections. Now, I have finished this right back section
and I am going to put it into a bun and clip it.
I did the same things for the rest of the sections except for one last section.
My clip broke. So I had to use a hair band to put it into place.
Okay, it's time for twisting. I'm taking the clip out and I'm going to part
my hair down the middle of the section.
Now, that it has been parted into two halves, I'm going to take one half
and clip it up and out of the way.
Using a dab of my home made oil, I'm going to smooth it onto my hair and comb through
once again, thoroughly this time. I'm ready to begin flat twisting, so I scoop
up a section with my thumb and split it into two halves.
Now, I'll cross them over and begin picking up hair from the larger section below.
Then I will twist it and grab another section from the hair below.
Twist over. Grab a section of hair.
Twist over. Grab a section of hair and continue down to the end.
From there, I will twist as if it's a regular
two-strand twist. I am combing the end to ensure that it has
a smooth finish for the rest of the twist and then I will add my oil to the end.
I finished three of them. Now, I'll move on to the front.
I have already sectioned off the front part of my hair and have flat twisted it into a box like
section. I am parting my hair into triangular like
sections in order to continue flat twisting my hair.
I'm gathering two strands of hair. Then I twist them around each other once.
I'm gathering another section of hair, then twisting that.
Gathering another section of hair and twisting that.
The key to flat twisting is keeping the tension on the hair while allowing it to still look
neat and tidy. Another thing to keep in mind is the size
of the hair that is picked up each time. Again, I comb the hair smooth and begin my
two-strand twist until the end.
Finally, I put oil on the ends.
Then it's time to finish the rest of the hair. I'm done.
These are the final results. I can pin these two twists backwards or I
can put it into a ponytail.
