Hi I'm Stan DeFreitas Mr. Green Thumb. The tricolor dracena is a great plant for the
water landscape. Now the tricolor means it has three different colors often in it. Kind
of a green, kind of a reddish color, and sort of a yellowish hue to some of the leaves.
Now draco going back to the ancient Greek means dragon, and this plant tends to sometimes
have different shapes. It may tend to move and bend all over. And that's sort of the
beauty of the plant. As an entry way plant, or as a potted plant on your balcony or in
your condominium, this plant really excels. But it is also one that you can have as a
specimen plant. When this plant gets to be fives or six, seven feet tall, it really can
take over an area. If you're looking for a plant that has beautiful color, fairly cold
hardy, I would say protect if we have a frost or freeze. Maybe if you've got it in a container
bring it in if we have below freezing temperatures. But one that will tend to be a nice, well
landscape plant also a house plant you can have for years and years to come. Dracena
is a grand plant that is easy to care for. For on gardening I'm Stan Defreitas, Mr. Green
Thumb.
