We're here with Ruth Patton, of Patton's Community. Ruth, tell us about the new
website that you've
created. Right, thank you for the opportunity Howard. Basically I have compiled
a national directory of High Street charity shops but don't let that
in itself put you off
necessarily. It also has an event
advertising service which anybody can use to advertise their events.
The real gain or real value of what I believe I can get from this is I can hit
a very big market in the public domain
which possibly individual charities or organisations can't get to on their own.
The combination of the charity shops and the events advertising
and then all the charities who have agreed to be on my portal, my
good news portal, I believe will bring a very diverse
and big following. And this is open to small and
large charities? Yes any charities or third sector,
not-for-profit, social enterprises. It's basically a good news portal for
all the fabulous things going on in our wonderful country that we otherwise
don't hear about. And the events, who puts those up, the details?
Anybody. Anybody at all can advertise an event. It's an automated
service. It only costs £7.50 per event.
The idea again is you can open it up to a massive
group of people which otherwise you may
not get to. OK and where can we find out more about Patton's Community?
Good question. It'll be live very soon, probably on the 5th of December.
Great. So what's the web address? It's pattonscommunity.co.uk.
Ruth Patton, thank you very much. Thank you.
