The Quaker Parakeet needs the right size cage with the right size bars, and needs to have
the proper nutritional diet. This can be found at many places. I prefer pellet diets because
they get all of their nutrition that way. You can either get the fruit blend or the
natural. The natural has no color. And, they also need plenty of water that is, preferably,
spring water. The tap water has many things added that are not necessarily good for your
birds. Quakers are sometimes called parakeets, and they are sometimes called Conures. They
are actually, in my opinion, a Quaker parrot. And they should be treated with respect. They
are very kind and gentle birds. And, given the right attention, and the right toys and
so forth, you can have a lovely pet with a Quaker.
