In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
[ With the Qur'an]
The verse indicates that the hearts must take care of the Qur'an
Because Allah condemned the disbelievers as they turned away
from reminder of Allah!
" Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away"
" As if they were alarmed donkeys"
Listen to this, if Allah wants to grace a slave,
He would make him hear the reminder
And if He doesn't want goodness for the slave
He would turn him away from hearing the reminder.
Allah says to his prophet,
" And when you recite the Qur'an, We put between you and those who"
" do not believe in the Hereafter a concealed partition."
Allah says to his prophet,
" Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear."
i.e. get the benefits after hearing it
The believer understands such messages
That if Allah took you to a place
where you would hear a reminder,
and the greatest reminder is the Qur'an,
You must realize immediately that this is a grace
from Allah almighty to you.
Not everyone understands the message of Allah Almighty.
I mean what Allah wants to give you by taking you there.
I will try to be simple.
I will give you an example,
Suppose someone has an appointment somewhere.
Then for reasons he couldn’t control, the appointment was canceled
All of a sudden he had free time and no place to go
then thinking where to go, he remembered there is a good reciter
in a masjid he knows
So he decided to go to pray with him at the masjid or at Al-Haram etc.
Or he remembered a religious speech is going to be held at a certain place.
It is the will of Allah Almighty which planned taking him to that
place for a reason Allah Himself knows
and for that He caused cancellation of the first appointment.
People differ in perceiving the reasons of Allah to plan things.
Some people do not get it at all, and again it is for reasons,
they occupy their time any way with anything, not to get closer to Allah.
But those whom Allah wants to guide, He gives them vision,
they realize that there is a reason for everything that happens.
Allah is putting it on his way, so he goes and listens to the Qur'an
his heart submit and his tears fall and maybe his sins are erased
without noticing it.
Allah SWT says,
" Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away"
He is scolding them.
So, to avoid that, embrace the reminder, which is the Book of Allah and
the authenticated Hadeeth from our prophet SAW.
The prophet SAW said in the famous Hadeeth of the Circle[Halaqa],
' The one who came, Allah welcomed him, the second one was shay and
Allah was shay from him and the third one turned back and Allah
turned His back to him'.
Our Lord said,
" Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away"
" As if they were alarmed donkeys"
" Fleeing from a lion?"
" Rather, every person among them desires that"
" he would be given scriptures spread about."
Why they want that? Because they are arrogant.
The most important reason that Quraysh turned away
from the religion of Allah is because of the arrogance of their hearts.
They said, it is not right that the Qur'an descends upon Mohammad and then
he recites it to us,
What should happen is that, each one of us gets his own scripture.
Not only that, but they requested, impolitely, to have the scriptures.
open, not folded, so that it is not their duty to open it.
Why they said that? Because they were arrogant!
So, Allah SWT said,
"I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right;"
I am repeatedly saying that if the hearts are going to be submissive,
the main place for submissive hearts is inside the house of Allah.
Try your best,
not to accept glorification by others
inside the house of Allah, the masjid.
The masjids are the places that Allah loves most
Allah SWT says,
" Allah guides to His light whom He wills."
This verse tells us that the guidance is upon the hands of Allah
The next Question is, If it is in His hand, where did Allah put it?
The answer comes on the next verse,
" in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised "
" and that His name be mentioned therein;"
So, it is primarily inside the masjids, great and honored places.
Where the Qur'an is recited and the servant listens to it
then his heart submits and his eyes cry
This is what the companions of the prophet SAW did.
