O.k so now that we've decided we're going to make this little jewelry bag, what I'm
going to do, I'm going to show you all of the supplies that we are going to need to
make it. This one as you can tell it's got the black, the blue, and then the green and
I want to kind of recreate the three color scheme because I like the way it looks. So
today I've chose this fabric, this one, and this one. This is is bridal satin, just plain
black bridal satin. I like it because it's real shiny and it's pretty it's got a nice
thickness to it, but it's still lightweight. These two are the ones that I'm going to use
for the outside colors so, I think I'm going to use this one for the body and this one
for the strap and the tie. This one the body is the same color as the strap, but I think
I'm going to mix this up a little bit and do it a little bit different. The fabric that
I chose is real lightweight. Not stretchy. You don't want to use that because it will
be just a big mess. What you want to be when you pull it horizontally and vertically, you
want it to be stable and of course if you do it on the bias like this, catercorner it's
stretchy that's fine. As long as it's not all over stretchy fabric. This one is the
same, not quite the same fabric, but it's still very lightweight. You just don't want
anything thick because you really won't be able to just pull this closed with really
thick fabric. Then I got the thread for each type of fabric and lightweight thread, tailor
chalk comes off with heat. I've got my ruler, twelve inch ruler that we need. I have a really
sharp pair of dress making shears and you really want some sharp scissors for this because
this fabric is really hard to cut if you have dull scissors. It just...it's really difficult.
Then for my circle pattern, I just have a big silver bowl. I like to use these or anything
round that you have that you want to use, you can just trace it. That's the best way
to do it a record, a bowl, whatever. Then also I have an iron because we're going to
need to iron some of this stuff out so in the next clip I'm going to go over the pieces
of this and we'll get ready to cut that out.
