Have you ever hit a creativity roadblock? I know I have. Well, I'm here to help.
[Intro - richardstep.com]
Richard Stephenson here and I've come up with a tool that I just didn't feel it was nice
of me to keep to myself. I designed it so that it would help me whenever I've come into
some type of creativity roadblock and I'm just kind of having a hard time coming up
with an idea of what to make for a video, post on a blog, a poem, or drawing, it doesn't
really matter it just helps stimulate creativity. All of these aren't meant to be funny or goofy
They're just, you know, ideas for potentially decent films. So basically I plan to post
a video every so often of ehh 5 decent ideas and maybe a couple off-the-wall ones just
to help you guys and you uhhh do with them as you see fit.
Number 1.
Ask questions, at a baseball field, about the value of leadership, and maybe consider
using some overlay image effects. Not a bad idea. That's pretty professional, straight-shootin',
yeah - sounds like a good video.
Number 2.
Is a news article or song parody, in an antiques store, about the general characteristics of
patience, and maybe using a ghosting effect. Yeah that sounds like there could be some
humor there, give it a shot, at least get the juices flowing.
Number 3.
Creating a poem, in the grass, about physical beauty and how it relates to things... using
a, well - this suggested using a 'goofy transition'... eh, probably wouldn't fit into that theme,
but it sounds like a really nice movie.
Number 4.
Is making a video of a crazy rant, at work, about the different types of recycling, and
using a compilation effect. So maybe taking uh the creative-commons available videos of
office shennanigans, and pranks, and people just blowing up and losing it. And I can see
some interesting use there.
The fifth relatively decent one I came up with and want to share with you is...
...a stream of consciousness type video, at a historic site, about the value of technology,
and maybe using a high saturation effect. Completely random and thrown together like
this that sounds like that would be a winner for artsy-fartsy, make-you-think kind of goodness.
Now - a couple of the silly / fun ones.
A reflection on scripture, at a shooting range, about the reason for government, and possibly
using a lightsaber effect.
And this one you know kind of piqued my interest. A cover song, *** in a train, about fun related
to wrath, uh with a fast time-shift effect. It just something rang.... you know... really
impactful movie.
Ahhh... and of course, out of the 64 ideas that I generated within a couple of seconds,
one of them that I just thought was a complete winner and somebody just has to do a video
on is.... a video to the viewers, asking for them to choose the next idea, in a German
restaurant, about hyperdimensional physics and the accessibility thereof, using a yellow
color effect.
Yeah - I see that happening. Anyway, I kind of thought this was a neat idea and I'd like
to share some of it with you - I hope you get some good use out of it. Make some videos,
share them, do a video response if you like, or just have fun.
Thanks for watching!
