We're onto eye liner. Eye liner is very important because you can really make a disaster of
your face if you don't do your eye liner well. After you've done all this beautiful work,
you don't want to start over again, so you have to be really patient when doing your
eye liner. I like to use a powder, with a brush, and just make it wet so it'll go on
smoother, instead of using a pencil that's pulling. Also, with powder's, the color is
a little more natural than using a black eye liner pencil because they can smudge and smear
and really make a mess of what you've just done. What I like to do is, take a little
bit of water, you can use can water; you can use your tap water, whatever you prefer or
more comfortable using. Just dampen your brush a little bit, an angle brush; you have to
use an angle brush. This is a medium size, there's some that's a little bit smaller,
just personal preference. You want to dip it into your eye shadow and it makes your
eye shadow wet-dry, which is a great little tool. You can make any eye shadow an eye liner
using this technique. I'm going right onto her eye and I'm starting from the end, kind
of upwards, like the cat?s eye and then as close to her eyelashes as I can possibly get.
Again, I started out light and then I want to add a little more, as needed. You can make
it as thick or thin as you want, using this technique. Again, as close to the lash line as possible
and in an upwards motion, like the cats eye. You also want to take a little bit of the
eye liner underneath the eye, just to make everything look even. Since it's a smoky eye,
you want to do a little bit under the eye to give it a little pop; simple as that.
