Lord we just thank you that you did endure the cross because of the hope set before you
and we thank you for that. You know, on one hand it's a difficult question to explain.
I, I'm very clear on the answer. I, I really just feel like it's what God wanted me to
do. And you know, we all, I think hear God in different ways and it was just always on
my heart to do what I'm doing now. And as I just went through life with kind of holding
that vision it's turned into, to what I do. I'd say from pretty much the moment, you know
I got saved, I, I was in New York, I'd step over drug addicts, and street guys, you know
to get into my apartment and the, the contrast was before that, you know I would avoid them,
and just thought, oh those guys just need to get job. And then once I became a Christian,
I really, you know just had compassion for them and would volunteer down at the Bowery
Mission and speak and help serve food and and just kind of, what I've always wanted
to do. When, when I first came to Nashville, there's a organization called Room In The
Inn, and we did, that's where they bring homeless guys together and then like our church will
take fourteen guys every Tuesday night during the winter and they sleep in our fellowship
hall, so I volunteered to help with that. And it's just kind of always been, you know
really from the day I became a Christian. I think my parents thought I was going to
be a lawyer, but, no it was too much reading for me, so as I went through school, I decided
at my, well fairly early in college, I started getting a finance degree, which is what I
graduated with. And I figured that would be a pretty general purpose business type degree
that I could use in a lot of different areas. Thought I might get into, go work on Wall
Street, that kind of thing. And late in my college career, I, I started helping our with
some philanthropies, and using music; concerts and stuff to raise money for Big Brothers
of America so I got in the music business and used that business degree then, but was,
was in the music biz, about ten years and it's a pretty stressful, intense situation
and, and just felt like it was time to get out of that.
