This video will show you how to throw music from your Xperia Tablet S to a
DLNA enabled device, such as Bravia TVs and network speakers.
DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance and allows your Sony network
products to interact with each other.
With DLNA on your tablet, you can play a song on the tablet and throw it to
your network speakers or other DLNA enabled devices.
So what is throw?
When you throw music, it allows you to take the music you are listening to you
on your tablet and then hear it on a DLNA enabled device.
To use DLNA, all of your devices must be connected to the same home
network.
They must be turned on and one device must be set up as the DLNA server.
At the end of this video, I will give you some information on how you may be able
to receive a discount on select Sony accessories that allow you to do more
with your Sony tablet.
So let's get started.
First power on your DLNA device.
For this demonstration, we are using a DLNA TV.
Power on your tablet.
From the home screen of the tablet, select the Apps & Widgets icon in the
upper right corner.
Locate the Walkman icon and tap to open it.
Choose a track and play the song.
In the upper right corner you will see the DLNA icon
which looks like this.
Tap the DLNA icon.
A pop-up will appear listing all the devices available on your network that
are available to throw to.
Select your device.
A message will appear that says Loading and your music will soon begin playing
on your device.
To stop playback on your DLNA device, in our case the TV, tap the
DLNA icon on the tablet.
Select My Device and the DLNA playback will resume back on the tablet.
