DAVID WAIN: Hi, everyone.
OK.
So Wainy Days is still not going to
be back until November.
But in the meantime, here's another
thing from the archives.
This is a little thing we did one day just for fun.
It's with Nina Hellman and Joe Lo Truglio and Callie Thorne,
and written by myself and uh, Kevin Allison
and Michael Ian Black.
RHONDA GOULD: Excuse me.
Would you like to sign this petition?
BARGE MICHAELSON: What's it for?
RHONDA GOULD: Uh, to get rid of the Latinos.
BARGE MICHAELSON: What--
what do you mean, get rid of the Latinos?
RHONDA GOULD: You know, the Spanish-speaking people--
South Americans, Puerto Ricans, let's see, Peru.
BARGE MICHAELSON: No, I know what Latinos are.
What do you mean, get rid of them?
RHONDA GOULD: I don't know.
Round them up, ship them somewhere, shoot them.
First we establish we want to get rid of them.
Then we worry about logistics.
BARGE MICHAELSON: I--
OK.
Look.
All right.
Look.
I'm Latino.
And I'm very apprehensive about signing this--
this petition.
And you know, the more I think about it, I--
I'm not crazy about the whole principle.
RHONDA GOULD: Which part?
BARGE MICHAELSON: The-- the part about
getting rid of the Latinos.
RHONDA GOULD: This is about a grassroots movement taking
charge of the government.
You're for that, right?
BARGE MICHAELSON: Yeah, yeah.
No, no.
I'm all for that, I'm all for that.
It's just I--
I--
I-- still, I happen to think Latinos are
great, terrific people.
RHONDA GOULD: So do I. My husband's Latino.
BARGE MICHAELSON: Well did he sign?
RHONDA GOULD: Course not.
That'd be like shooting himself in the foot.
LINDA MARTIN: Is this where the petition to get rid of the
Latinos is being signed?
RHONDA GOULD: Yeah.
Do you want to sign?
LINDA MARTIN: No.
I'm supposed to meet Stan Drake here.
RHONDA GOULD: What time?
LINDA MARTIN: Around 4:00.
STAN DRAKE: Hi, I'm Stan Drake.
Did you see a woman looking for me?
RHONDA GOULD: Yeah.
She just went to grab a cup of coffee.
She'll be back in a couple seconds.
BARGE MICHAELSON: Yeah.
You know, a cup of coffee.
STAN DRAKE: OK.
Bye.
RHONDA GOULD: Bye!
BARGE MICHAELSON: Bye!
RHONDA GOULD: So, you gonna sign, or what?
BARGE MICHAELSON: Oh, I'm sorry.
I got so wrapped up in the Stan Drake business, it
totally slipped my mind.
OK.
I've thought a lot about it.
I've decided not to sign.
RHONDA GOULD: I sort of figured that.
BARGE MICHAELSON: What tipped you off?
RHONDA GOULD: Well, remember a couple seconds ago when you
said, I decided--
BARGE MICHAELSON: I decided not to sign.
I remember that.
I do--
I do remember that.
I do remember that.
RHONDA GOULD: OK.
This-- this isn't really a good-- good idea.
I mean, I--
I'm married.
I mean, I really--
I care for you.
BARGE MICHAELSON: I understand.
We should just--
RHONDA GOULD: Yeah.
***.
