Hi, I’m Eric Holder. I’m proud to serve as our nation’s attorney general.
And I want to tell you about some ways the Justice Department is working to protect our national security,
our economy, and the rights of all Americans.
The safety of Americans remains our top priority.
We’re focused on combating terrorism, fighting crime,
and bringing criminals to justice.
And we’ve improved efforts to safeguard civil rights
protect our environment, and ensure fairness in our markets.
Today, we’re building on the progress we made in the past year
by strengthening both prevention and enforcement.
We’re tackling the problem of financial fraud and devoting new tools
and resources to restore confidence in our economy.
And, at every level, we’re working to restore the Department’s traditional mission.
Security. Accountability. Transparency.
That’s what the American people deserve.
And it’s what you can expect from your Department of Justice.
