I think any effort the bookstore is making
to make books less expensive is great,
and I applaud their effort.
It's another way for us to help the student
reduce the amount of money they're spending on textbooks.
It says, 'rent or buy me.' OK.
If you do have any courses that do have that,
you just pay 50% of the cost, and you can
mark it and highlight it just like a normal textbook.
You just have to by the last day of finals.
It's kinda like you bought it and sold it back to us all in one shot.
I buy used or buy online, but if I can rent them, that could be a good option.
It's yet another option for students to use. We offer
rental books, digital books, used books, and new textbooks.
They have to register a credit card.
So that if they don't return the book,
we reach out and remind them several times, but if they
still don't return the book then they would be charged for the book.
And if the book was severely damaged they'd be charged for that.
