Just imagine standing on a stage with audience staring at you,
the lights are coming up, and I was Hedy LaRue in
"How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,"
and Lola on "Damn Yankees."
I've been in over 5 different performances,
and I've been involved in The Little Theatre since I was 14.
Now that you know a little bit about me, I'm going to give you
some information on The Little Theatre,
such as their background, their outreach programs,
and what you can do to get involved in The Little Theatre.
Back in 1957, a man named Guy Little
opened The Little Theatre.
It started as a drive in, and he turned it
into a performing stage theatre.
In 1978, unfortunately, it closed, but again, in 1981,
a group of people from Sullivan, Illinois helped
to reopen the theatre.
Now that you know some of the background information,
I'll give you some of the current outreach programs
that they have to offer.
They have over 51 different dance and drama programs,
over 260 students are currently involved in these programs.
The dance programs can go from anywhere from swing to ballet
and even baton lessons.
The drama classes even include stage combat.
Now that you know some of their outreach programs,
this is how you can get involved in the Little Theatre.
They have different performances going on throughout the summer,
and you can even give them a call at their box office,
at 1-800-555-STAR.
If that's not enough, if you just have some questions
or anything that you need to have answered, you can contact
Leonard Anderson, who is the executive director.
Now that you know what this theatre has to offer you,
you can maybe even be the next Lola from "Damned Yankees."
