Hi, my name's Dowell. What we're going to cover right now is the safety equipment you
want to make sure you're using when you wash your vehicle. It may seem silly, but when
you've got a staff of eighty or ninety people, we're always concerned about the safety of
our staff, as you should be concerned about your own safety. When you're working on a
vehicle, there's no telling what could splash up, get in your eyes. Most of the soaps that
we'll use are pretty mild, but we are going to use some wheel cleaners and other things
in the course of washing our car that could create some damage to your skin, create some
irritation, and think about that in your eyes, that makes it even worse. So I'm going to
put on a pair of safety glasses. I recommend you use sunglasses, safety glasses, something
just to keep the chemicals or the debris from splashing up in your eyes. You know, I've
had small rocks or debris get in my eyes and it just makes the experience painful. The
other thing I'm doing is I've got some rubber gloves. We keep those handy for our staff,
and again you never know how your skin or body's going to react to the chemicals and
the things you're applying to the car. They're not meant for your skin, they're meant to
clean vehicles.
