So Others Might Eat is a non-profit organization which operates in service to the homeless
and poor in our nation's capital. We're trying to take an agency and connect the employees
and the staff and the clients in a way that still enables some to be a grass-roots agency.
We use the IT services to do that, whether that means that we have IP phones, internet
phones where we can call each other all over the city by just using an extension, whether
it's the system of our electronic medical records. Analysys has enabled us to stay on
the cutting-edge of technology, which then enables us to be incredibly efficient and
to provide amazing services to our clients that we would not be able to do if we didn't
have a good IT infrastructure. What's important is that their technology needs to be transparent
to the organization. It just needs to work. We essentially provide an outsourced IT department.
Employees of Analysys that work here full time. They work for Analysys, but they're
placed here. If I just hire an IT staff, there would not be a peer group that they can go
to if they hit up against a problem that they couldn't address. Here, our guys have a peer
group. You would have to pay the same amount to hire two people to be your own employees,
but with outsourcing, you get this whole infrastructure at Analysys. In that regard, with outsourcing,
you do get more with less. We provide support and guidance to So Others Might Eat 24/7 by
356 and a management team which oversees the relationship on their behalf. So Others Might
Eat is an amazing organization and they're doing some wonderful work, and I want to be
a part of that. Analysys has certainly improved our IT.
