It’s just to test myself,
saying that my level of knowledge in radiology has been tested by an international, European society,
which is accrediting me that I have learned what I had to learn.
Do you think the ESR Diploma could be an instrument to help you work abroad?
I think so.
I was in Graz for three months, and I saw things, and whatever,
and apart from the topic of language, and all these cultural differences which could make it difficult for me to go to other places,
but maybe, for example, why not work in England, if I speak English properly, or France, if I start to speak French
now in Spain the economic situation is hard and a lot of people are thinking about going abroad,
so it could be a nice option to use this diploma just to get your accreditation in front of radiologists from other parts of Europe.
You should understand that the evaluation of diagnostic images in this context is completely different
from what you are doing day-to-day.
I could do better if I wasn’t in this situation, of course… [the situation] of tension,
that you know you are being evaluated, you know that you have to do it in a narrow space of time.
They weren’t easy cases for me, for sure. They were quite well selected
It was difficult?
In part,yes
This exam, these first people who are doing the exam, will tell the truth about what the society can expect
or if we have to change something in the knowledge we acquire during the residency
or if it’s ok as it is, or what happens.
So you feel kind of ready for another examination now?
Yeah, and they told me if you do that, it’s just like a continuation of what you have been doing in these four years of residency.
