Hi I'm Cathie Heart of CathieGraphy and I do a photography and design services and this
is the 30 day YouTube challenge for 30 women around the world all sharing our business
advice and giving you tips and tricks for how to either your thinking, your business,
your life , all of these kinds of things. I'm focusing around starting up your business
and around branding and identity because this is what I offer as most of my services.
So I was starting the other day with the 6W's Who, what, where, when, why and how. Yesterday
we covered What and today we're covering: Who.
So .. who is your product for? Pretty fundamental question, who is your audience, who are you
clients? Who will help you make your products? Who will help provide your services? Who will
be buying your services? Just .. just because people are buying your product, doesn't actually
mean they are going to be the ones using it themselves. They maybe getting the product
on behalf of someone else as a gift. For example .. if I wanted to give my friend some peace
of mind I may be buying your counselling services to help her improve with her stress life or
even if its just for me I often go round my business friends and ask for tips and tricks
for how to manage a stressful client situation or how to manage my emotions better in a stressful
situation or how to do certain things that I'm not naturally able to do right now, just
because we are so close to the situation ourselves. This could be a service I could buy for myself
or on behalf of others, so just because somebody buys a product doesn't mean that they going
to be the ones using it in the end.
So who is your audience? Is the person going to be the one going to use the end product
or is your audience the wider network of who is going to buy on behalf of the person who
will be getting the eventual product? It particularly applies to products mostly, rather than services
because for products you can buy a box of chocolates and give it to your friends and
your friend is going to be happy. So think about closely, who is your product for?
Write down a couple of paragraphs saying what you think about What your serving and then
Who your serving and put that all down. You can write on my blog and interact with me
there and I'll be replying and if you have a question for me on what your doing you can
talk to me on twitter @CathieHeart. Cathie with an 'ie' and if you put the hashtag #CathieQ
onto the end of it I'll be responding that way. So if you have any questions get in early
and then in the next 30 days after I've done my 6W series, I'll be responding directly
to your questions so get in soon and I'll be talking to you back.
Alright, talk to you tomorrow. Thanks.
