Hi, I'm Tim Berry. Welcome to my home office on the weekend. And welcome to this Introduction and Orientation
section of our online course. Thanks to business.gov for inviting me to do this, and thanks to you for taking your time.
We're going to do something different with this because we are starting the second decade of the new millennium.
It's time to take better advantage of technology so that as you look below me, you'll see there are various segments here,
and what I'm hoping you'll do is not necessarily follow along in the order that they're presented, but rather jump
to where you're most interested. I say in business planning, start anywhere, get going, and let's do this
in this business planning online course, too. You may want to jump to the heart of it, the strategy, or you may be
more concerned with 'how do you do a sales forecast?' and 'what are the basic numbers you need?
That's, I hope, up to you more than me so we can jump around and not get locked into one sequence.
So you'll see those clicks below and then you may or may not want to return here to the basic orientation.
There's also a click on my background. I won't force you to go through that.
If you're not concerned, you can just go on and listen, and there's a place there as well to ask questions.
Let's be as interactive as we can, so you're choosing your sequence from the very first day that this is made available
by business.gov. And over time, there's an area to ask questions so that you can ask those questions and, of course,
look first--somebody might already have asked them and we may already have answered them for you,
so let's try to make this as interactive as possible. And with that I suggest you either take my suggestion
and go on to what's next here, or choose according to your concerns and the titles of the pieces. Thanks.
