well that's why i asked fast-forward to february seventh of uh... two thousand
and thirteen
you were invited to the uh... presidential
prayer breakfast
and do you made a speech
i looked at that speech
and then i had to look at it
because there was so much controversy about it
and frankly
i didn't see anything that controversial
i didn't feel anything that couple gratuity that's
you note that we live in the society today where people have to make a
controversial out of everything
uh... what i did simply is diagnosed
what i think or some of the real problems that we traced
and gave some uh... ideals because i never say anything without giving idea
about how to correct it
you know we've been to benefit hiring where we're supposed to have freedom of
thought freedom of speech
and uh... i guilt
and you can't expressed yourself
and that's somehow that's attacking someone
it's absolutely absurd
and we should not allow ourselves to be manipulated
particularly by the media lex luther up controversy there's no question about
that what we really need to be doing is focusing are energies
just like i did when i was
we know working on those twenty
utilizing lots of different ideal philosophy talent focusing it on a
problem and solving the problem
not spending time sitting in a different issue the nature of it
calling each other names
and acting like absolute infant
day
you know there were or calls after that speech and this is
war so from
what i would refer to as
all right wing me
it seems as if
the right wing medium
really
reached you
uh...
actor
afterwards uh... and that the
more progressive the
head more negative things to say
uh... what's your take on why heats
acted and behaved as they did
well you know what i really focused on is that than normal outpouring cinematic
they received from common american i mean just thousands and thousands of
communications
particularly poignant ones from elderly americans
they were just waiting that god they had given up on america
and now they felt in decorated campbell
and the reason they felt invigorated the kent is because somebody was talking
about comment
solution
and that's what we really need to be concentrating on
how to we know
hit common sent out there
now if you know uh... i've turned on number of of and if you don't have a
kind of interviews coming up
um...
moakley
on uh...
i was a conservative media blitz certainly on a lot of the room
media also
you know i do the segment on on npr yesterday of kaplan coming up on c_n_n_
a ton
uh... several uh... liberal park
according to
care whether it's considered conservative liberal what i care about
is whether it's consider logical is it something that make sense and what we
have to do intricate ourselves i hope this ideological
situation which is destroying it
that particular concern
you know the minority community
end up in the black community because
pick intellectually elite class
who likes to go around and pat people on the head
and take their door you pay for the pink i'm going to take care of you you don't
need to worry about anything that's not helping buddy this marketing buddy out
of uh... a bad situation and get into a better situation what it is perpetuating
the situation
where they can be classed to remained of the and people need to sleep through
that
and your
if if if you go in that community
uh... obviously you wouldn't take that aprox what's your purpose
when i go into ther black and they which i do
uh... very frequently
you know i'd talk about empowerment
how do you empower yourself
how would you empower those around cheerful
and and
you know i'm i'm not politically correct canard that part of a large group of
students this week
that uh... and then talk to the girls
about risk
acting yourself
and not letting some
guy come along with the fancy talk in impregnate you and leave you in a
situation where your baby
it's four to nine times more likely to grow up in poverty and not the first
couple where your expectations is going to be compromised
and i've talked to the to the young fellows
about not allowing your sells succumb to that peer pressure
because somebody has contentioned that society has done you're wrong and
therefore you have
uh...
remorse
about going out committing crime crime and getting what who it belongs to you
that this is a bunch of crap
and people really need to stop listening to that
and start focusing onto
values and principles that kept the black community strong corrupt slavery
in
and in the pool slavery term croat thereof
and get back to that talud system that creates strength and not listened to all
of this probe
restaurants secular stuff which is just drawing
our families and destroying our community
