On saturday we wanted to enjoy the sunny weather and we walked around Sydney Harbour
and we walked a little on the Harbour Bridge
we could see the Sydney Opera House from another angle
and
there was also a very important game of rugby that weekend
So there were many out coming fans too.
But very nice, very peaceful walking there.
Pretty safe.
One thing I wanted to do
before leaving Australia:
was to see kangaroos.
So we took a tour of a local tour company
So we took a tour of a local tour company
and we went to Featherdale Wildlife Park.
Sydney has two zoos
but pretty much everybody told me this was the best, so this was what we chose.
And on the tour was also included Blue Mountains and such
so we did not have much time to stay at the zoo
there we could see kangaroos, only the small ones
also koalas, Tasmanian devil, various other animals.
But kangaroos are really cool. Well funny.
It was worth the ride.
Then we continued our ride to Blue Mountains.
It's about three hours drive from Sydney, to more inland.
And we had lunch there.
And also there, we saw the famous three sisters.
Then we continued our ride to the Scenic World
where there is
We experienced them all.
First the Scenic Skyway.
It's a cool view.
Then we arrived at the main building
where you can catch the other two options
Scenic Railway and Scenic Cableway
to go down to the valley.
Due to the queue, we choose to go down first with the Scenic Cableway.
And downstairs, then, is the Scenic Walkway (as they call it).
So, there are several tracks
several walks through the valley.
All of them with a wooden floor, as if you were walking on a bridge.
And all this to protect nature.
The coolest part was go up with the Scenic Railway
because it is the steepest passenger railway in the world.
An average of 52º.
And as it is a tourist attraction, they allow some seat adjustment.
So you can soften slightly to 44º
or, further, increase to 64º of inclination.
And of course, this was our option.
