Point TV is today at Tartu Kaubamaja department store where the demo day of Tamron lenses takes place.
I took along a bigger mic and want to ask people what they think about it.
Similar demo day takes place right now in Tallinn at Ülemiste Center. Let's switch over there, Ardo?
Hello Tartu and greetings from Tallinn. There is a Tamron demo day going on here as well.
Lenses are all here for people to try. People come, they try various lenses and everybody likes it.
At the moment we have a small break which ends soon. So, let's go back to Tartu.
Thanks, Ardo. Let's see, how people like this demo day here in Tartu.
- Hello, would you mind answering some questions for the Point TV? - No, not at all.
- What lens do you have on the camera right now? - The Tamron 90mm macro lens which is considered
one of the best lenses in the lower-priced bracket. - So you would prefer this lens over the others?
- Yes, I obviously would because the 180mm which is also quite interesting, is too long
and slow for me. - What other lenses have you tried here today? - The 70-200mm f/2.8.
- And the emotions? - Absolutely positive. I was initially afraid of slow autofocus
but it left a positive impression. - Very nice, thank you. - Welcome.
- Hello from Point TV. What did you find here at Tamron demo day? - I accidentally walked by
and saw many lenses. - Did you find anything interesting? - No, I use Pentax and I am
a fan of prime lenses but it was still interesting to see this. There are some potential candidates but I
still prefer Pentax. - So you'll remain faithful to Pentax brand? - Yes, I think so.
- Hello from Point TV. What lens do you currently have on the camera? - The Tamron 10-24mm wide-angle.
- Why are you interested in this lens? - Because the Pentax kit lens is too narrow.
- The 10mm setting is quite wide. - Yes, I think it is the widest among wide-angle lenses.
- Do you have faith in Tamron as producer of lenses? - I didn't until I tried the 17-50mm f/2.8 and
the image quality really impressed me.
- Let's ask one of the Point TV guys how the demo day has been so far.
- Everything has been very good considering the fact that we had real fire alarm here at
the department store. But many interested people have been here trying out the lenses and some of
them have even purchased. So I would say it's a very succesful event.
- The department store was on fire. Do you know any details? - There was a fire allegedly but a good
security guard managed to put the flames off before the fire dept got here so there was no danger
and our lenses are all saved. - So the lenses were not harmed? - No. They are hot and priced hot.
- Why is this computer here and what can be done with it? - This computer is here so everyone can
play the Tamron Island game. This is exciting game with nice prizes. I recommend this game to everyone.
www.fotosaar.ee is the address of this game. Anton, have you played it? - I hope my boss is not
watching this, I haven't. - Then please give it a try, it's quite adventurous.
First select your character and then you'll see what image you have to capture. After that you have to
find the exact same scene and take exactly the same picture. Play well and win a prize.
- What are the prizes? - Tripods, Tamron lenses and other nice things.
- So everyone can play the game here as well? - That's right. There's a computer always present
at our demo day so everyone can give it a try. - Can this game be also played at home?
- Absolutely and free of charge.
The Tamron demo day is now over, the department store will be closed soon and we have to leave
but Tamron lenses are always available at Photopoint stores and you have to find them there.
I am Anton Lember and I wish you all the best from Point Tv.
It seems that Tamron lenses are so hot that the department store caught fire.
We were all sent out. The lenses are there
and we are here. So, what do you think about
the Tamron demo day? - Things are going great I think because everyone can grab those lenses
there right now. The security guards are obviously all lined up, selecting lenses and cameras.
- Very nice.
