Hi it's Chris from Future Music again here on the Koma Elektonik stand with Christian
who's going to be taking us through the new workstation tool, some of the bits and bobs,
there are some new modules as well, so I'll hand you over to Christian.
>>Hello, so you already know the FT201 and BD101, that next thing that we have upcoming
or that we sell already is the Koma Kommander which is an infared controller that generates
CV ultra voltage. So basically measures the distance between the sensor and your hand
and it gives out a corresponding CV signal so you can control with it basically whatever
you want; an oscilator, a filter, a VCA and at the same time so there are 2 sensors on
the unit; 1,2 and both sensors give you 2 signals. So one for control voltage and one
is a gate and you flip one the way, so like a switch that you flip. So that is the 2nd
controller then we have another controller up coming here, that right now we call the
Kontrol Surface and it's an exceptional Z controller so it has 3 axis' like this. So
it's exceptional and at the same time you can also, you have the pressure on the Z,
so you have 3 outputs, there is a hold mode for the axis' and it keeps the value while
you're touching it. Then you have manual trigger outputs as well and you also have the media
output above all of these things. Then you can have an external plug input, so that it
only gives you a signal while it gets a flux, so you can do like press soloquetas or
>>So gated sequenced effects >>Yeah rhythmic stuff, syncronised stuff with it.
That's that. So that is this. Then what we also have up coming is the 301 is the new
panel that has a master clock and LFO and an envelope generator so the master clock
can either be controlled with this left button here, so that you tap in the tempo, you can have
it running free, that you simply change the tempo with this ***. Then you have twice
the clock output, you can set the division here like you can see; 16 x2 x3 and so on so
that you also have twice here. You can also control it by a midi and synth sync so you
can basically like syncronise like your whole studio or your live set up or whatever. Then you
have the LFO here that can either synced to the master clock or it can run by itself up
until 260Hz, it has 5 wave shapes, 2 of them are really nice, because we specially programmed
them to sound very nice if you go into audio range, sort of like low-fi wave shapes,
this is signed with digital noise for exmaple. Then you have the symmetry of the oscilator
and the oscilator is also controllable by CV. Then you have the envelope channel radar,
it can also be either a loop by itself so it's like triggering itself when it's finished
or you can sync it to the master clocks. So with one input signal you have a bunch of
outputs and you can basically choose to hook up your whole system to it and control it.
So you could for example control the 2 pedals with it, with your modular system into this
pedal you can control your midi and instruments and so on. Then what you also haven't seen
yet, is this filter of ours which is the same filter circuit in the Kopa Elekronic FT201 we've
cut out resonance it doesn't have the 10 step sequencer because it doens't make sense to
have that because there's like better sequencers in modular systems and it has a low pass, band
high output like the FT 201 but it also has a special output the mixer, where you
have all 3 of them and you can, with this little *** here, you can go from low pass
to band pass to high pass, so you can continuously sweep through the filters, or if you put the
control voltage here, you can sweep with an LFO or an envelope generator.
>>Can we hear this? >>Sure. What we can also do is for example
take this, so now with the control surface I'm sweeping through the filter modes of the FT201
sounds a bit like it would change the cut out frequency but in fact you don't it's just
a very similar effect if you go from locals to hyper.
[music]
So yeah that's that. >>Thank you.
>>Yeah there's also a lot of input gain in this filter, so you can have a nice over drip of
sounds if you want, you don't have to but you can. This is $75, this one we don't know yet,
we will bring it out in 3 to 4 months time but we hope to price is like somewhere around
the $200 range and the Komerlatonic BD101 is, let me look here is $379, this one we
will also bring out in 3 to 4 months, we don't know yet, we want to price is like sort of
like the same range as the pedals that are around $350/$400 and the FT201 is priced at
$389. And the filter here I can only tell you in euros is, it's 359, so it's probably
around $280. >>Ok, excellent, thank you.
