ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: So, some other important warmups is warming up our brain as well as
kinda focusing in groups. So, some fun warm-up games that kinda teach our brain patterns
and such like that is the game called "You". Basically, you have everyone in a circle and
they are going to raise their hands. For demonstration purposes, we would need more people so I'll
kind of explain it more than demonstrate it. So, for instance, Jayne and I would be raising
our hands and I would then start it by "you", I would drop my hand and then she would point
it someone else in the circle with their hand up and say "you". Once everyone has their
hand down and has been given a "you" and has received a "you", the last person would point
back to me, the person who started it. That created a pattern. That pattern then would
be said over and over and over again until everyone understands it. Then, we would add
another topic onto that such as cartoon characters. So everyone would then point to someone else
and say a cartoon character establishing a new pattern. And it could add more than two
levels. You can add three levels, four levels, as many levels as you want. However, at any
point, each person can start the original pattern game and all patterns could be going
at the same time. For instance, all the "yous" would be going the same time. All the cartoon
characters are going. It might be confusing but it really helps warmup your brain. Another
important warmup is focusing. A lot of times groups will huddle together and they will
all try to count to 20 or as high as they can go but only one person can say a number
at a time. So, I might start by saying "one", someone else in the group would then have
to come up by saying, "two." If someone said "two" at the same time, then you'd have to
start over. This is kind of focusing. It helps everything come together and bring everyone
into one kind of cohesive being to get games going and the show started. And those were
kinds of two other important warmups. I guess we'll be moving on to some other warmups that
kind of incorporate all of what we've talked so far here.
