We're all born that way --
--Sinners.
And everyone has to deal with the consequences.
Now we're slaves to sin; slaves to our flesh; to lawlessness.
The price of our sin is death.
Not just a physical death, but also a broken relationship with God and an eternity of judgment.
We can try to please God; we can do good things.
But no matter how hard we try, we can't cover up our sin.
Just when we needed it the most, and when we deserved it the least, God sent us His Son.
Jesus Christ came to us.
He lived a perfect life -- a sinless life because He was God.
Yet He paid the price of our sin. He was nailed to a cross to die,
and He was forsaken by His Father.
Christ didn't stay dead. He rose from the grave, never to die again.
The burden and consequences of sin is still there,
but it doesn't have to be.
When we confess Jesus as Lord, and believe that God raised Him from the dead,
we will be saved.
We will be set free from the bondage of sin.
We will be made new.
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
So let the whole world know
that the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified upon that cross for you.
