Hi, I'm Stuart Shepard, this is Stoplight!
I remember watching an interview with Jimmy Stewart a long time ago.
(Steward) "I guess this is just another lost cause Mr. Paine."
He was being asked what it takes to look so real in the movies. (Stewart) "You know
that rule Mr. Paine." "And I loved you for it just as my father did." He said you
can never let people see the "wheels turning."
(Steward) "I think if you could do a part and not have the acting show
then believability start sneaking in and if you get those people down in the audience believing what's going
on up there, well then you're in pretty good shape."
(Steward) "Get me back -- I don't care what happens to me." "Get me back to my
wife and kids."
He's talking about that point in a movie when it's no longer just a story and you're
no longer just sitting in a theatre. For that moment it becomes your reality. (Obama) "...the
change we need does not come from Washington, change comes to Washington."
I remember watching a campaign a long time ago. (Obama) "...America we cannot turn back..."
Many people began to believe that the campaign and the person were the same thing.
(Music Video) "Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity." "Yes we can..."
People were pulled in and did not realize it was just a set and a script and essentially a movie.
A life sized movie.
I wonder how'd they run a campaign now that everybody, almost everybody is back in reality.
"Tax Havens," "Offshore Accounts, " "Carried Interest." It's just what you'd expect
from a guy who had a Swiss bank account. What is Mitt Romney hiding?
I just got this email from the campaign that describes Paul Ryan as a 'real danger.'
'That he's an effort to appeal to 'ultraconservative ideologues.'
According to the Wild-Eyed Liberal Mainstream Media Dictionary: Ultraconservative Ideologues:
Anyone who is not a liberal.
So this time around there's no movie there's just old school, hard ball politics.
That means were now a people who 'Knew Too Much.' A nation looking out their 'Rear Window.'
All of us longing for a 'Wonderful Life' and wondering how America will respond now we all see the
wheels turning.
(Obama) "If you don't have a record to run on then you've paint your opponent as
someone people should run from." "You make a big election about small things."
