2013 Samsung Smart TVs come with a new remote
the Smart Touch Control.
This remote offers a unique and fun way to navigate menus
and control your TV.
You'll need to pair your Smart Touch Control with your Smart TV.
To do this, with your Smart Touch Control in hand
turn it over so the back cover is facing up.
Now, toward the bottom - on the end opposite the IR Blaster -
find the small groove.
Placing one or two fingers in this groove, gently pull the back cover off.
Now, insert the two provided AAA batteries in properly.
Do not replace the back cover just yet.
Now, with the IR Blaster facing the TV
press and hold the Pairing button for a few seconds, then release it.
You should see a Bluetooth pairing icon
appear on the bottom left corner of the screen.
Once paired, a battery status indicator
will let you know how full the batteries are.
You can now replace the back cover.
Aside from the standard features like TV power, set-top box power
menu, source, volume and channel adjustments, and the return or exit key
the Smart Touch Control has several new features.
The large square in the center is your touchpad.
So just drag your finger from side to side, or up and down
to navigate through your Smart TV.
This will also control the cursor in web browsing.
To select any option that would have required
you to press an enter button before
simply press the center of the touchpad.
At the bottom of the touchpad, press the small tab once
to view recommended content in Smart Hub.
And twice to activate the search option on your TV.
In the top center of your remote, you will see a small mic
or microphone above "Source".
When you press the Voice button and speak directly
into this microphone, you can more accurately
and naturally access the Voice Control feature on your TV.
To navigate, search, and more!
Press the More button to access features like your colored letter keys
tools, your playback options, channel numbers, and more.
To view all the options, just use your touchpad to scroll over.
The More function will rotate to show every one of its options.
At the bottom, the Guide button will bring up your cable channel guide
so you can search for your favorite channel.
And the Smart Hub button in the bottom center
will instantly open Smart Hub. So you can take advantage
of all the Smart features available on your television.
