Well, about these engravings, this is the third time I do them and they are actually notebook drawings
For my work, for any installation I do, my point of departure is my notebook
And this series, I mean, that’s why this series is here
Because it shows my train of thought regarding how the structure and functioning of the machinery will be
Notebooks are the place where I put my thoughts down
And I had the idea of using this in my engravings and I think it is a way of demonstrating the process itself
How do I work, where does it come from, how does it start
Since 2001, I’ve been using water in my work, and the states of water too
I did the frozen water, the steam of water
And now this system, which is a system that shrinks a water drop and makes it look like steam
I mean, it is a cold steam, as if I really wanted to understand it and transform it
So, the fact of being white and being located on the floor works as if I were able to catch this space
And in this case, I think the steam helps, since it blends with the space and penetrates the space
The water, I think, it is an analogy of us
It is a flowing element, which is never in one place
You can’t catch water, which is always in movement, right
