Welcome to 60 Sec Tech - one minute of what you need to know in the tech world.
"Paper," a new Facebook mobile application, was released today in the United States. The
app takes a new approach to the world's most popular social network, ditching the endless
vertical scrolling wall that we've grown accustomed to. Instead, "Paper" uses a more picture-
horizontal display, encouraging users to relax and spend more time on what they're being
shown. The design takes visual cues from both Medium and Flipbook; every update is shown
in full-screen picture form, ridding the screen of a sea of icons.
So far, however, the United States is the only one to get the application, and it's
only available on iOS. There's no current plan to bring the application to Android and
Windows phones, or to release it worldwide.
That does it for today. Stay tuned for another episode of 60 Sec Tech.
