What's important for us is
that the guests our our sponsors bring to the venue
leave with a good feeling.
Our main rule is that we are the hosts
for our guests.
our biggest challenge for decorating this new lounge
was, in spite of the fact that it is a large space which can hold 2600/2700 visitors,
people should still be able to have the choice to sit quietly with a client or
if they want, can mingle with the crowd.
An obvious element here is the long corridor
in front of the pitch, so that wherever you sit in the stadium you can connect
with the field. This should be the case for the first and second half of the game.
In addition, the idea is that people
will use our facilities in the so called third half.
what we noticed the last season, is that we are not only used on
match days for our visitors and customers
but because of our multi functional location
we are a big
competitor of the hotels, restaurants and cafes in the city.
We noticed that a lot of business people are here during the week as well.
We have also been inspired by other successful locations, like Schiphol airport.
There they have 1 big room surrounded by different
hotels, restaurants and cafes.
We applied the same idea here
with the Essent lounge, a pub with a simple concept creating
a separate space and a wine bar.
Eventually it turned out perfect as we are able to entertain visitors twice,
once during the first half and again
during the second half and when the game is over, people stay for the third half !
They enjoy themselves in our beautiful horeca space.
