Did you know that the defendant’s medical expert is trained not to give you a straight
simple answer? It’s true. You want to learn what I mean? Come join me. Hi. I’m Gerry
Oginski. I’m a New York medical malpractice and personal injury trial attorney practicing
law here in the state of New York. So many times I will get up to cross-examine a witness
– a medical expert – and I will ask simple, straightforward questions that will call for
either a yes or no answers. Doctor, would you agree that it’s important to keep accurate
records? “Well, I don’t know if I agree with that statement. What I would agree with
is…” And now the doctor gives
a long-winded answer.
