Today on our 2006 Chevrolet Silverado well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushioned
ball mount for two inch hitches with two and three-quarter inch rise or four inch drop,
rated at 10,000 pounds. To begin our test fit well need to get our hitch height measurement.
To do this well measure from the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground. On this
truck that measurement is 19 inches. Keep in mind that measurement can vary due to hitch
style, tire size, or any other accessory that may affect your vehicles ride height, so its
a good idea to measure yours. Well now slide the ball mount shank into the hitch, line
up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin.
Well then put the clip on the other side of the pin, securing our ball mount to the vehicle
in the drop position. In the drop position from the top of the ball mount platform to
the ground measures 15 inches. Well now go ahead and flip our ball mount over to the
rise position. In the rise position from the top of the ball mount platform to the ground
measures 22 inches. Thatll do it for the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount for two inch hitches,
part number AMSC4 on our 2006 Chevrolet Silverado..
