To remove the needle you'll need two items. This is the multi purpose tool and you'll
notice there is a hole at the very tip of it that is shaped like a D flat side on the
top, that help actually insert and catch the needle when you take it out. Sometimes I like
to lower down the presser foot, there is a little bit room. Slide the tool up and then
loosen the screw on this side. Let it drop out. You definitely want to change your needles
often. You want to make sure that they are always the proper needle for your fabric and
also if you've saw over pins or hit something, you definitely want to change it because the
tip is not going to be very good.
When you are ready to put in a new needle, you can drop it down. You notice it does not
spin because the tool is holding. Drop the point down first into the foot and lift straight
up and then go ahead and make sure it goes up high enough. If it doesn't go up high enough,
your needle threader will not work which by the way is a great reason to always use your
needle threader to check and make sure.
Go ahead and tighten it until just a little tighter, don't go too far on the screwdriver
but then it's ready to go.
