Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a season finale and Future Islands releases a new album: This
is EW's must List for Tuesday, March 25.
Andy Samberg's cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine wraps up its first season tonight, and the
stakes couldn't be higher. Samberg's detective Jake gets kicked of the force. There are flashbacks,
shady government officials, and ballroom dancing. So, like Law & Order but with more flashbacks.
Over on Syfy, designers and FX artists compete for glory on Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge.
The new reality series requires contestants to conjure up bizarre new creatures, in the
spirit of the design shop that brought us the muppets and the Dark Crystal.
Baltimore synth pop band Future Islands just released their new album "Singles," their
fourth full-length album. You might recognize Future Islands from their performance earlier
this month on David Letterman, when singer Samuel Herring pulled some excellent white-guy
dance moves for a performance of lead single "Seasons (waiting on You)."
But enough about your weird cousin's favorite band, let's talk about your weird dad's favorite
band! British prog-rockers ASIA are probably best-known now for their '80s Hall of Fame
hit "Heat of the Moment," but the sexagenarian rockers are still putting out big huge rock
music. Their latest album, Gravitas, features the band's trademark maximalism, with blasting
guitar solo, a title track that is eight minutes long, and an albu cover showing a dragon which
could be a metaphor but is definitely a dragon.
That's all for today. Come back tomorrow for Must List details on the Psych series finale,
when Mr. Psych will finally catch the One-Armed Man.
