Well, hai there, I sort of felt like streaming today to my fellow people in the Newer channel and decided to also record it. Enjoy!
It's sort of weird how the modern Marios since NSMBW sort of have to rationalize why a powerup exists in the stages...
Makes me wonder how the Cat Bell from SM3DW will be done.
BOWSER ATTACKS THE CHURCH
Wonderful, me, GET HIT BY THE FIRST ENEMY.
Well, actually, a Cheep Cheep appeared before that Goomba. So there. I guess.
This stage has like 3478924^7839 hidden extra lives. Kind of nice that way.
These rooms really are quite simple even without the 3D. But the 3D does actually make a difference in a few select spots...
Of course nothing that'd be impossible to do without it, but it does genuinely help.
There's a "secret exit" of sorts above there but it's pretty pointless...
I think it takes you to W2-1, so about 0.2 femtolevels ahead.
I recall that when the game still wasn't out a rumor went that you could make these and send them to friends or something...
Even if it'd be obviously very limited it'd be kind of neat to have that feature.
Put some "ifs" in the code, Nintendo, you can infer if I did or not that way and give me an appropriate message thxbye.
There's a little secret here you may not know about...
Wheee! That's fun.
This is an optional stage...So, this world formally has 3 levels...and the castle, ofc.
It's a bit sad that the game was rushed for the holidays this much, especially when you look at the end parts...
I hope that SM3DW isn't rushed this much...but I kind of think it will be due to the fact they moved it to November from December...
It is really sad that way, but SM64 is still the only non-rushed 3D Mario so far.
Mario Sunshine had the blue coins and glitchiness...
Galaxy 1 had the "recolor mirror" stages and artificial lenghtening by Luigi mode...
Galaxy 2 had an abundance of "lol speedrun" and "lol level from past game".
And this game is so short and has so much artificial lenghtening it's almost embarassing.
SUPER LONGJUMPPPPPP~
Woot.
This is a really good castle theme, actually.
What a hard boss.
I think you may actually be able to Roll+longjump Tanooki Luigi from the top of that Cardboard 1UP building all the way to here.
This area here was the first area of the final game to be shown...
FUN TRIVIA, KIDS. Except it wasn't fun.
Yoink. Pro strats.
Minus the part I couldn't get up for 3 years of course.
Referecing Mario 3, ain't you, game.
I'm sure that will make perfect sense on the 2DS.
You can do this part without the blocks at all by jumping on some enemies and then this question block...
Too risky though.
My second fav course in the game, right here.
Had trouble here remembering what activated the spin.
But anyway, I like the course because you can do this~
Pretty cool, eh?
Gotta backtrack for the 2nd Star Coin Medal Thingie...
Also additional sekrit here.
Yoink a boing oink.
Hi there, Flipswap Galaxy.
Now, the 3D actually REALLY helps in this area.
Welcome to the Shortest Airship Stage Ever.
Actually, maybe one of the NSLU ones is shorter, not sure. Still, this is pretty effen short.
Boom boom makes an unwelcome reappearance...
3DS got really gipped as far as bosses in mainline Marioz go.
Aaaw, missed the flag. Oh well. AMPLE opportunities to hit it again.
And, yeah, that'd be it. 2 worlds in one episode. Pretty crazy. See you later.
