Lets do our final beading of our bead encrusted plaque. We'll put the glue all the way around,
you want to get it nice and close. You can use a paint brush when you have a large area
to spread that out neatly.
If you like to work in small sections you could do that also. We'll finish our gluing,
you want to put in a good healthy amount of glue all around here. You can use the paint
brush to smooth it out. You want to get right up nice and close to the boarder beads so
that there won't be any gap in between where the paint is showing. You'll always see a
little bit of the paint coming through that's why we painted it in a coordinating color.
But, you don't want any large gaps so you want to put the glue right up close to the
edge.
For this section I've chosen an assortment of seed beads and Bugle beads to mix together
in a nice coordinating color. So, there's our glue. I've mixed the seed beads and the
Bugle beads all together and then we'll just spill them on like this. Nice sprinkle all
the way around into the glue. Then, you'll just tamp it down a bit with your finger to
get it nicely embedded into the glue.
Look for some empty spots and you can kind of shift that around. Now, some of the beads
will fall off, the ones that aren't well embedded into the glue will fall off. You just want
to shake them up. You want to wait a little while, let that dry, before you shake off
your beads because you don't want any beads that have glue on them, wet glue, coming off.
Let's finish up our heart plaque by attaching the tassel on the end. I'm going to take a
piece of card stock or paper and we'll slide it through the loop of floss at the top like
this. Just put a generous amount of glue on the paper. It's going to act like as a piece
of tape but I find that the tacky glue is much stronger than tape. So just place that
firmly and we'll put one more staple just to hold it tight. That should hold just fine.
