I met Frank Wildhorn in 1997 when we were here in New York
choreographing the Goodwill Games.
And at that time, Frank said, when we finish the job, I want
to do a Broadway show with you.
Here it is, 14 years later, and we're finally putting our
show up on Broadway.
So it's something we've talked about for a very long time.

I am considering this my Broadway debut.
I did a little bit of theater before this, but the thing
about Wonderland that really attracted me to the piece is
that the music is so different.
Every character in the show comes out with a different
style of music.
So for me, that means I get to do a different style of dance.
And for me, that was what I wanted to do.
I wanted to really come to New York and show that I just
didn't have one note, that I could do so
many different styles.

I would have to say my favorite number is "One Night
Only" because it's my biggest audience pleaser-- like every
night the laughing, the screaming, the cheering that I
get from that number.

I was the first choreographer to win
three consecutive Emmys.
I've done about 50 films, a lot of television shows, the
Emmy Awards with Conan O'Brien, and Academy Awards
with Hugh Jackman.
I like to work in commercials, TV, film, Broadway.
And my next dream is to direct Broadway shows.
And I would love to choreograph a ballet company
or like Alvin Ailey, something like that.
