In a previous video I reacted gum with various acids.
I still have some gum left over so in this video I’m going to react it with potassium chlorate.
Here is the potassium chlorate.
Let me first melt it with a torch to make it much more reactive.
Here is the gum.
Potassium chlorate is a powerful oxidant that directly provides oxygen to combustible substances
like this gum making them burn faster than they normally would on air.
Yeah! Gum rocket fuel!
