Gun Rights Rally-Goers Have HAD IT With Hogg – Here’s What EVERYONE There Got To Stick
It To Him!
People who support gun rights and the all American freedom and celebration of the second
amendment and the right to bear arms were treated to something special when they were
active participants at a rally over the weekend.
The event took place just outside the Vermont State House.
The event was originally designed to protest the new potential legislation that would ban
high-capacity magazines and help increase the gun control in the state of Vermont.
The people who attended were given a free high capacity magazine as a gift for attending
the event.
David Hogg and his teeny-bopper friends push their anti-gun regime with protests, boycotts,
and tactics that seem more closely tied to bullying, but there are other people in America
who aren’t letting this happen.
There are people on the more right side of the law who will fight and counter every measure
done by the teen crusade against freedom.
There were a few hundred people who attended and they were there to convince Governor Phill
Scott to not sign any bill or legislation that would ban the high capacity magazines
and put new gun control laws into place.
Those in attendance also wanted to prevent the bump stock ban, but many gun owners don’t
care too much for the bump stocks as they don’t use them anyway.
The people protesting also called for something that should have been done a very long time
ago which was bolster the background check procedure to provide improved results.
The protesters don’t want the bill signed because it includes bans and affects legal
gun owners more than it affects criminals, however, the background check procedure improvements
is something that many people want.
Scott also wanted to raise the legal age for which people can purchase a gun, but there’s
a mixed reaction from protesters in regards to that.
Many gun owners simply don’t want to be vilified by the mainstream and face blame
for the actions of several criminals.
Fox News reported more on the free high capacity magazines at the pro-gun rally: “Gun rights
activists were handing out high-capacity magazines at a rally outside the Vermont State House
on Saturday to protest new legislation that would ban them and increase gun control in
the state.
Hundreds of protesters gathered to urge Republican Gov. Phil Scott not to sign a new bill that
would ban high-capacity magazines and bump stocks, expand background checks for private
gun sales and raise the legal age for gun purchases. The measure was approved by the
State House earlier this week and then again by the Senate on Friday in a 17-13 vote.
Protesters were handed nearly 1,200 high-capacity magazines, which hold up to 30 rounds of ammunition.
A standard-capacity magazine holds as little as 10 rounds, but often exceeds that number,
according to Congressionalsportsmen.org.
If the bill is signed by Scott, those who already own high-capacity magazines will be
allowed to keep them.
Scott has indicated that he intends to sign the bill, and though he understands the disappointment
of some in Vermont, he has faith that they will “get accustomed to the new normal.”
“I think at the end of the day,” he said, “they’ll soon learn that what we have
proposed, what’s being passed at this time, doesn’t intrude upon the Second Amendment.
It doesn’t take away guns, and I believe that we will get accustomed to the new normal,
which is trying to address this underlying violence that we are seeing across the nation.”The
extensive gun legislation package came after the Parkland, Fla., school shooting on Feb.
14, in which 17 people were killed by a young gunman.”
The good news, as reported by Fox News, is that anyone who owns a high capacity magazine
will be allowed to keep their items after the bill is passed.
That is, of course, if the bill is officially signed and passed.
Scott still has to sign it and that’s why people were rallying and trying to convince
him to not sign something that includes so many changes.
Some gun owners would prefer if Scott passed a bill that went towards fixing one thing
at a time.
For example, the mental health checks could be amended to help ensure that the wrong people
do not, and can not, purchase a gun legally.
That will help protect the legal and law-abiding gun owners who have a clean history and commit
no crimes.
Many gun owners feel as though they’re under attack for what criminals are doing, which
is not fair to the people who follow the law.
Some protesters believe that the gun control topic is not exactly about the type of gun,
but more about the freedom of Americans to utilize their right to bear arms.
Americans do not want their freedoms to be trampled upon and they work hard to protect
the constitution.
It’s all about the freedom and the fact that people don’t want their rights trampled
on.
If anyone ever asks “what do you need an AR-15 for” then the answer should always
be “none of your business.”
The truth is that the large majority of gun owners are nothing but law abiding citizens
just minding their business, so they should not be punished for the actions of criminals.
Something needs to be done to keep the weapons out of the criminals hands, but the government
should not punish the people who are already following the law.
