[Zero Gravity presents]
[s01e02 - "Life As We Know It" - "Southeast of Reason: Fragments"]
Residents of the Osijek area have been awakened by a strong explosion.
As we find out from Mr Korlevic, head of the observatory in Tican,
the stated incident is regarding a small meteorite fall and it's fragments.
Surveillance cameras have caught specified occurrence,
and one of the onlookers has sent alleged footage
of the exact place where the biggest fragment has landed.
Credibility of this source has not been demonstrated...
With all these events, we must ask ourselves
whether what we can see, analyze and record is all there is out there
or indeed there is a hidden world, infinitely small or unimaginably big,
just beyond the reach of our comprehension.
Gotta work, gotta work, gottaaaaa woooork.
...crossing the line of science and stepping into a mistery.
[FRINGE SCIENCE]
Heeey!
I won't flush the toilet... You can watch the short version floating over there.
Go to school!
Andrea, you forgot your lunch!
For better or for worse.
From now on, somebody's gonna make her own lunch. -It's not that bad. Let's not exaggerate.
Gotta work...
Just kidding. Thank you.
See you!
The platypus live in the shallow waters of the Australian and Tasmanian rivers.
While diving, their eyes, ears and nostrils are closed
and they rely only on their highly sensitive beak.
They are able to catch a variety of insects.
They are very quick and agile in the water,
whereas on the land they tend to be a bit slower and sluggish.
Males have openings on their hind legs
through which the gland secretes content,
something resembling a snake venom...
Andrea.
Andrea!
Andrea.
Yeah?
Would you be so kind and share your precious opinion on today's topic?
Hmm... The platypuses... Are... Totally fascinating,
just like the entire fauna of the Australian continent!
They are only mammals that don't give birth to the living descendents,
instead laying eggs, and their mating process is...
Well, well, well...
You've got enviable knowledge of the mating habits of these obscure Oceanic mammals.
You are even one step ahead of me, I'm still on this boring stuff
like feeding and habitat...
Okay, just sit down and listen!
To the lecture, not to the music!
Your colleague gave us an introduction
to the love habits of the platypuses.
Thus, the romance begins when a male catches a female's tail
and then they start to swim together in a circle...
I mean, like, I got it, but, please,
where did you get that thing about platypuses?
Watching documentaries instead of reality shows.
But, like, not everybody knows the mating process of, what,
some kind of Australian mammals.
Well, I am one of a kind.
[We could watch some documentaries together.]
[I've got cable... we could muster a channel or two not dedicated to reality shows.]
Hm...
I think I already saw you somewhere.
