You are now looking at this unique 3D, carbon fiber textured skin tailor-made for Orange San Francisco.
First off we need to clean the casing of the machine with a lint-free cloth.
Then use your finger to run along the back panel for opening.
It's now available on eBay, search for keywords "Orange San Francisco skin"
Now take out the skin for back panel and simply apply onto the machine.
If it doesn't seem well aligned...
Just peel off slowly and do it again.
It still isn't right...
It looks much better now.
So we need to use the hair dryer for softening the curves
Use your fingers to press on the skin carefully.
Do the same for the other corner.
And along the edge
Remember to soften around the camera hole and press carefully
There you have the back panel skin done!
Now we are sticking the upper frame
Make sure the hole and the button are aligned correctly
And softening the curves as usual
It's actually not really hard as long as you acquire the basic technique
And it's critically important to clean up the machine, otherwise your work will be wasted
Now it's the front part
I'd like to start with the bottom first
Then remember to leave a small margin, or the upper part won't fit
Now we are focusing on the left right hand corner
And run your finger along the edge
Hair dryer time again
You need to pull and press the skin around the corner to make it settle in
Curving the skin is probably the hardest part
Now I recall that I didn't soften this corner
So just peel it off slowly and soften the corner
Remember to press the curve in one direction only
And the final check for any imperfection
Hair dryer is your friend in fixing the small defections
It seems we've got everything right this time
This is the last and one small part, but this is gonna be easy
We're almost... putting back the cover first...
finished!
Thanks for watching and remember to search "Orange San Francisco skin" on eBay!
