Hello I'm Bruce Zimmerman Host the Open line Garden Show and certified
horticulturalist for Rittenhouse.ca.
Today we are going to talk about Woodsman's Pal
Now versions of the Woodman's Pal been issued to the U.S. Military from World
War Two to Desert Storm.
The two models we have here today the first is the premium
with the leather handle and the knuckle guard and then the standard version with
the hardwood handle.
Both blades are made of cold rolled spring steel and the reason for this
is that you want to make sure that they are flexible in high temp as well as
sub-zero temperatures.
Both are covered in the floro carbon resin this is to keep them from rusting.
The bevelled edge has been designed and sharpened to be able to go through a limb
one-and-a-half inches in diameter with a single sweep.
The hook is designed to go through limbs and other brushes and vines
etc.
so just be careful that you don't take off your limb with it.
You'll also note that the toe down here is not sharpen. This is for your own
personal safety. What they find is that where most of the injuries are done.
So both models come with a Cordura Sheath and in this Cordura Sheath
is a hidden pocket where you'll find the your personal sharpening stone.
So now you can see more of these great Boy Toys at www.rittenhouse.ca.
