If you’ve ever wondered how we work out your regular family assistance
payments, now you can see how it’s done.
We’ve given your family assistance letters a new look — they now show
the maximum rates of payments, any
reductions we’ve applied and the final
amount you’ll be paid. The maximum rate
is the highest amount you could get,
based on the number of children in your
care and their age. Reductions may be due to your income, child support
you’ve received or a payment choice you’ve made.
