Welcome to your homework for your library instruction. There are so many topics to
cover about finding resources for your assignment, that we want you to learn about the basic
concepts now, so we can focus on harder concepts in class. Please watch the following three
videos. They will help you learn about using a library database, boolean searching and
what is a peer reviewed journal. The library databases are like Google, but search for
scholarly resources, unlike Google which searches for websites. Boolean searching is a language
that is used to search databases. Peer reviewed journals are a type of material that your
instructor wants you to use in your paper. When you are done watching the videos, there
is a short quiz that will be turned in to the librarian and your instructor. Thank
you for watching and see you in class.
