I'm already a certified trained Hypnotherapist, and I thought
that addiction counseling would be an excellent way to go.
I chose the Human Services at Hancock based mostly
on research that I did.
Hancock has a really high standing as far
as the state level is concerned.
Human Services is a helping professions.
Working with people, assisting people, therapy, counseling.
There's just this myriad of need and services
that you can offer and help people.
There's a lot of interaction and mock groups.
We do dyad's.
We'll do small pretend grounds and have observers
so we really get into the meat of counseling.
I've had some of the best teachers I could ever
have wanted.
Hancock's made a difference in my life
in that it gave me an opportunity to find a field
that I could train in that when I got out I wouldn't feel
like I was already beyond the market it was something
where I could get right into it.
It was really important that I had this education.
