Without any doubt, the tourbillon is the complication that best represents the art of fine watchmaking
and Piaget has developed the world's thinnest, shaped tourbillon movement:
the 600P which measures only 3.5 mm in thickness!
For aesthetic reasons, the company opted for a flying tourbillon and placed it at 12 o'clock on the dial,
then heightened its visual impact by adding the initial P for Piaget.
The development of this asymmetrical layout called for great precision in order to ensure the perfect balance of the whole design.
The ultra-thin tourbillon carriage is suspended on a single shaft and contains 42 components.
It completes one revolution per minute and, since it is produced in titanium, it weighs only 0.2 grams.
The 600P is also fitted with a power-reserve indicator located at 6 o'clock.
Its finishing includes circular Côtes de Genève, a circular-grained mainplate, bridges that are beveled
and drawn by hand, and blued screws all of which form part of the brand's own aesthetic codes.
